In State Of The Team Address, Lurie Has His Sights On Packers

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (CBS) - Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie (pictured) gave his annual state of the team address at Lehigh on Thursday.

Despite all of the hype surrounding the Eagles, Lurie says the defending champion Green Bay Packers are still the team to beat, "They're the team we're all trying to catch. They're the team we all dream about trying to surpass, and so does the rest of the NFL."

Lurie said winning the Super Bowl is an obsession, ""We don't need any internal motivation. We're obsessed. Last year, you know, I thought the winner of our game was going to go to the Super Bowl." But Lurie believes the Packers and several other teams will make for a very competitive NFC this season.

One player still not at camp is DeSean Jackson. Lurie wouldn't go into detail, but says, "He's a positive player, good person and we have nothing but high hopes going forward with DeSean. I'm not going to talk publicly about the dealings with him, but it's all positive and we look forward to DeSean being here and working things out in a great way going forward."
