Two American Hikers Jailed In Iran Head Back To Court In Tehran

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A court hearing is scheduled for Sunday in Iran and two American families are keeping a close watch on proceedings.

Twenty-nine-year old American hikers Josh Fattal, whose family lives in Elkins Park, Montgomery County and Shane Bauer have been in jail in Iran for two years.

They were arrested for spying while hiking along the Iran-Iraq border. Officials say this hearing will be the final one in the on-going case, although previous court sessions have been canceled at the last minute.

Thirty-two-year old Sarah Shourd was also hiking with the men and was arrested, but she was released last September on $500,000 bail because of health concerns. Shourd was expected to return for trial, but has refused.
