6-Year-Old Child Left Unattended In Car Parked At Parx Casino

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) - A man is facing charges after investigators say he left a young child inside a hot car while he gambled inside a Bucks County casino.

The incident happened Saturday at the Parx Casino on Street Road in Bensalem.

Authorities say casino security officers who were patrolling the area spotted the 6-year-old child inside the hot, locked car.

According to police, the child was left in the car for less than 10 minutes and was not hurt.

Police say this is the second case in less than a week where a child was left unattended in a car at Parx Casino. Last year, authorities say there were at least a half dozen separate incidents of adults leaving children inside locked cars at the casino.

Police say the suspect is facing several charges.
