GQ Ranks Philadelphia A Fashion Faux Pas

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Is Philadelphia a mecca of high fashion? GQ magazine says no, ranking the city the 6th worst dressed in the country. As the magazine says, the City of Brotherly Love hasn't been a trendsetter since the country consisted of only 13 colonies.

Calling the city's main fashion accessory "cheese steak grease to go with their favorite hoodie," GQ gave a pretty harsh analysis of Philadelphia's sense of style. Some of the people hitting Olde City for a night on the town agreed.

"Nobody got any swagger out here. Everybody just be cool wearing tank tops," said one person KYW spoke to.

"The sagging thing. Where's your belt? That's disgusting," said another.

And the hostess at one bar and restaurant summarized the city's style in one word: "Weird."

Despite what some of the locals thought, there were some cities with a worse sense of fashion than Philly. According to GQ, Philadelphians are better dressed than people living in Manhattan, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and LA. The magazine says Boston is the worst dressed city in the nation.
