Arena Football: Philadelphia Soul Hosts Division-Leading Cleveland

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Philadelphia Soul will play their penultimate game of the Arena Football League season tonight as they host the Cleveland Gladiators (9-6), who currently lead the Eastern Division.

Philadelphia brings a 5-11 record into tonight's game, and they have been eliminated from playoff contention.  But head coach Mike Hohensee says his team continues to bring maximum effort every day.

"Our kids have worked extremely hard and had to fight through the adversity of frustration and disappointment, week in and week out, and have done a good job to this point in preparation," he tells KYW Newsradio.  We go into every single game thinking we are going to win the football game, which is the way it should be.  But a lot of times when your record isn't what you hoped it would be, it's a lot easier said than done."

The Soul lost to Cleveland in their first matchup this season, 59-41.  Hohensee (right) talks about what they need to do to reverse that trend tonight:

"As usual we have to make sure that we control the turnovers.  Usually if we can control the turnovers we have a great chance at winning.  We can't let them have big plays on offense," he says.
