Home Video Report: Some Movies Mellow With Age -- Sort Of.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - This week's DVD releases seem up-front on a couple of subjects.

Bad News Bears, the 2005 version starring Billy Bob Thornton (photo) and Greg Kinnear, is not as raunchy or as radical as the 1976 original, but it's still an attractive comedy about a baseball team of lovable pint-size losers and their grouchy manager.

And, if you've got a sweet tooth for hardboiled tough guys and their dames, you'll want to check out Robert Aldrich's 1955 thriller, Kiss Me Deadly.  Maxine Cooper and Ralph Meeker are the stars.

Anne Heche and John C. Reilly are featured is the disarmingly sweet and silly Cedar Rapids.

And, check out this trio of Roger Corman's cult classics subtitled "The Women In Cages Collection" features three films on women in prison.  Pam Grier takes joy in engineering a prison break.
