Man In Critical Condition Following Fairmount Park Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police are investigating the shooting of a man in the city's Fairmount Park section Saturday morning.

Authorities say at about 2:30 a.m., the unidentified victim was discovered in the 3600 block of Greenland Drive. According to police, the victim was shot several times, including twice in the head.

Witnesses report the victim was thrown out of a white SUV that was last seen heading down Greenland Drive toward Ford Road.

The victim, who police say is in his twenties, was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is listed in critical condition.

No arrests have been made at this time.
