Napping Improves Productivity

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - There is a classic German study that you need to bring up to your boss at work. The research finds that if people took a nap it could make a major difference on productivity.

The studies show that if you just nap for six minutes during the day, it will not only make you feel better, but it could improve your ability to learn and remember.

The connection between sleep and learning is something that researchers have only recently pinpointed, but many know from their own experience, such as the mathematician who says he's going to sleep on a problem and has that major eureka! moment when he wakes up.

The researchers at the University of Dusseldorf have performed two experiments, and in the Journal of Sleep Research they reported and found that it does make a difference.

A little nap can make you much more aggressive and also intuitive. Maybe you might not want to mention it to the boss but it is fascinating.
