Driver Veers Off I-95 In Port Richmond
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are investigating whether alcohol played a role in an early morning accident on Interstate 95.
The accident happened at about 1:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-95 near the Allegheny Avenue exit in Port Richmond.
According to investigators, the female driver somehow lost control of her car, flipped off the highway and landed on the southbound Allegheny Avenue ramp to I-95.
It was not immediately known the extent of the injuries the female driver suffered.
Police say they are investigating whether alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
The accident remains under police investigation.
