SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) -- Colin Igoe scored three goals and Notre Dame recovered after a slow start to beat Penn 13-6 on Saturday in the first round of the NCAA lacrosse tournament.

Notre Dame (11-2) will play Duke or Delaware in the quarterfinals.

Nicholas Beattie, Westy Hopkins, Zach Brenneman and Pat Cotter each scored twice for the Irish, who won their first 10 games this season before losing their previous two.

Notre Dame scored four times in the first 9 minutes before the Quakers (9-7) rallied to within 8-5 at halftime. Notre Dame shut down Penn for more than 27 minutes to put the game away.
