Police Respond To Multiple Shots Fired On Wilmington Street

WILMINGTON, DE (CBS) - Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 300 block of Townsend Street.

Upon arrival, they found a 24-year-old female victim inside of 340 Townsend Street suffering from a gunshot wound to the thigh. The woman refused treatment at the scene.

Officers determined that several people on the block were fighting. One of the suspects had a gun and began shooting up and down the block striking three homes, two cars, and the victim, who was inside her grandmother's home.

Officers detained two suspects, both males in their late teens, who were walking away from the area. Witnesses identified them as the shooter and co-conspirator.
