Local Artists Showcase Work At 4th Annual Elephant's Eye Studio Tour In Bucks County

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (CBS) - The talents of several critically acclaimed artists will be on display this weekend and next weekend in Bucks County during the fourth annual Elephant's Eye studio tour.

It's a chance art lovers don't get often get - the ability to see artists creating inside their studios. But that's what will happen throughout central and upper Bucks County when several contemporary artists open their studio doors to the public. Lisa Naples is the tour's founder.

"Artists work in isolation. They're not out in the world. You go to a museum, which is this wonderful depository of fantastic art, but the thing that's missing is the actual artist and their studio, and the trappings of their studio and the communication with them," said Naples.

The tour showcases a variety of media including pottery, oil paintings, wood and sculptures. The tours run from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and next Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow and next Sunday. You can get more information and studio locations at http://www.elephantseyetour.org/.
