Man Shot In Back After Argument In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect in connection to a shooting late Tuesday evening.

The shooting happened at about 11 p.m. in the 3700 block of N. 8th Street at Butler Street in North Philadelphia.

According to investigators, the incident began as an argument between the suspect and the victim. Police say the victim began to walk away, but the suspect followed him on his bike.

The suspect then opened fire, striking the 43-year-old male victim once in the back. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital in an unknown condition.

Police say the suspect fled the scene after the shooting. The incident was reportedly captured on surveillance video.

So far, no arrests have been made. The motive for the shooting remains under police investigation.
