Suspect Sought In Main Line Armed Robbery

RADNOR, Pa. (CBS) -- Police in Delaware County are working to track down a suspect who robbed a mother outside of a Starbucks while she with her young child.

The incident took place just before 10 a.m. Thursday outside of the Starbucks Coffee location on E. Lancaster Avenue in the Wayne section of Radnor Township.

According to Radnor Police, the female victim says she was placing her one-year-old daughter in the back of her vehicle when she was approached by the suspect, who put a handgun on her cheek and told her she would be shot if she did not comply. The victim turned over her jewelry, watch and handbag to the suspect who fled in a white Toyota, according to a witness.

The victim and her child were unharmed.

Police say the suspect then went on a spending spree using the victim's credit card.

At 10:30 a.m. a stocky black male thought to be in his 30's, who police say fits the description, can be seen on surveillance video using the victim's credit cards at the Target Store at Baltimore Pike and Route 320 in Springfield Township.

The Radnor Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to identity of the person of interest in this armed robbery. If you have any information, contact the Radnor Police Department's Investigation Unit at 610-688-0503.
