Searching For Jobs In A Bad Economy
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - There are some jobs in this "jobless recovery," if you know where to look.
Jobs are out there in information technology or health care, says Sue Mukherjee of the state labor department.
"Jobs are still a premium. They are far and in between. And we still have in this area, about three unemployed for every job posting that is available."
But that's better than it was, and she says it's expected to slowly get better into next year.
She says Marcellus Shale drilling in Pennsylvania will also provide some secondary pipeline manufacturing and transportation jobs in our area. Mukherjee spoke at a panel discussion put on last week by the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group.
