New Ideas And New Plants At Meadowbrook Farm

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Where do all the new cool plants come from and how can you be the first on your block to have them before spying them in someone else's yard? Talented people are experimenting with new plants all the time and, you can get a sneak peek at some fancy new flowers and cutting edge cultivars, when Meadowbrook Farm in Abington holds a Spring Open House, this Saturday, April 30th from 8 AM to 6 PM.

Affiliated with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, Meadowbrook Farm is where many fabulous Flower Show plants are coaxed into bloom every winter. And during this open house you can tour the historic estate and gardens - and buy all kinds of plants to take home. From wonderfully dependable PHS Gold Medal Plants to funky. Fun new stuff, like BLACK VELVET petunias…I'm just saying! PHS members get a 10 percent discount and you can join on the spot.
