A Guide To Philly Tech Week

Whether you're a fanatic or merely a fledgling, you can always afford to brush up on your knowledge of technology. Get your crash course in all things innovative at the first annual Philly Tech Week, coming to our city this April. –Chelsea Karnash

What: The first Philly Tech Week, organized by tech news site Technically Philly, will be held this year. The week-long series of events will be held at various locations, including the official Philly Tech Week headquarters at WHYY, where Tech Week will also host a lunchtime speaker series and a Friday night event. Other event partners include the University City Science Center, Wharton, the Franklin Institute and Independents Hall (a co-working space not to be confused with Independence Hall). Events from organizations like two.one.five magazine, the African American Chamber of Commerce and the Franklin Institute will be featured.

When: April 25-30, 2011

Why: Philly Tech Week's goal is to celebrate and grow technological innovations in the Philadelphia area.

Schedule of Events: Philly Tech Week has a variety of events planned in various genres, from a video game debut, to Tech Quizzo, to a blogger roundtable.
