Driver Hospitalized After Crash On I-95 In Chester

CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) – A driver was taken to the hospital after crashing his pickup through a guardrail on Interstate 95 in Delaware County early Thursday morning.

The accident happened at about 2 a.m. just past the Highland Avenue exit in Chester.

According to police, the driver was travelling northbound on I-95 when he somehow lost control of his pickup. He crashed through a guardrail, then continued off of I-95 before crashing through a fence and into a park car at Forwood and Culhane Streets.

The driver was taken to an area hospital to be treated for bumps and bruises. There were no reports of any other injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
