3 Injured In 2 Early Morning Shootings In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia police are investigating two separate shootings that left three people hospitalized early Tuesday morning.

The first shooting happened at about 1 a.m. at Berks and Philip Streets in North Philadelphia.

When officers arrived, they found two men on the ground. One man had been shot in the chest and leg and the other suffered a gunshot wound to his leg.

One of the victims was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital and the other was taken to Temple University Hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.

So far, police do not have any suspects or a motive in the shooting.

About an hour after the North Philadelphia shooting, investigators say a man was found shot in the head in Southwest Philadelphia.

The victim was rushed from 56th and Christian Streets to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His condition was not immediately known.

Investigators are still searching for a gunman in this shooting.
