'Dancing With The Philadelphia Stars' Fundraiser Is This Weekend

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - It's Dancing with the Stars, Philadelphia-style, Sunday evening and it's all for charity. The ticket deadline is Friday at 5 p.m.

This is the third annual Dancing with the Philadelphia Stars to benefit the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America Philadelphia Delaware Valley Chapter.  Its Administrator, Zemoria Brandon, says ten contestants, including KYW's Hadas Kuznits, will compete for bragging rights in a format just like on TV.

"The dancers have been in rehearsals of the last, I guess, two months now, and they'll be doing everything from the rumba, to the fox trot, to quick step, to the merengue, just all of the ballroom dances that you see on Dancing with the Stars."

This black tie event at the Hyatt Regency Penn's Landing is a $100 per ticket, and includes dinner and a silent auction as well as the floor show of contestants and their partners from the Society Hill Dance Academy.
