BLOG: Orbitz Loses 3 Car Rental Companies
By Jim Donovan: After several airlines jumped ship, it seems that rental car companies are now getting into the act, pulling up stakes and leaving the popular travel search engine, Orbitz.
Enterprise Holdings which operates Alamo Rent A Car, National Car Rental and Enterprise Rent-A-Car has stop listing on Orbitz.com and Cheaptickets.com.
Enterprise and Orbitz reportedly were unable to reach a deal after a previous contract expired. Enterprise has been quoted as saying that Orbitz demands "unacceptably high" commission rates.
