Ebene Quartet To Perform During Philadelphia International Festival Of The Arts
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts begins Thursday, April 7th. The Ebene Quartet is part of the opening night festivities with a concert at the Kimmel Center's Perelman Theater.
The Ebene Quartet is a group of Frenchmen who will bring energy as well as plenty of polish when they take the stage at the Kimmel Center's Perelman Theater.
"They have achieved kind of a meteoric rise to the top of their field, not only in Europe now but all over the world," Miles Cohen with the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society explains.
They are influenced by a variety of artists and Cohen says part of what makes them special is how they seamlessly transition from one song to the next.
"And it's going to grab you, so to speak, by your shirt collar and really kind of make you sit up and say 'wow, this group is definitely passionate and is definitely believing in what they're playing.'"
The performance is part of the opening night festivities for the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts on Thursday April 7th. For tickets or more information visit www.PCMSconcerts.org or call the box office at 215-569-8080.
