Philadelphia Police Say Bicyclist Struck And Killed By Drunk Driver

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A cyclist is dead after being struck by a car driven by a man police say was drunk.

Investigators say a Honda Accord slammed into an unidentified 50-year-old man riding a bicycle at C Street near Wyoming in the Feltonville section of the city early Saturday morning.

It happened just before 1 a.m., and the cyclist was rushed to the Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he died an hour later.

The driver was taken into police custody for DUI and could face vehicular homicide, as well as a list of other charges, pending the outcome of an investigation.
