Suspect Sought In Robbery Of Man On Delaware Street
NEWARK, Del. (CBS) - Police in Delaware are searching for a suspect in connection to the robbery of a man near a shopping center this past weekend.
The incident happened at about 1 a.m. Saturday near the Newark Shopping Center.
The victim told police that he was walking off of North Chapel Street into the shopping center when he was grabbed from behind by the suspect. The suspect then reached into the victim's pocket, removed his wallet and then threw the victim to the ground.
The suspect fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as an 18-22 year-old white male, 5'8" to 5'10", with an average build. He was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
The victim, a 21-year-old white male, sustained minor abrasions and lacerations to his left knee.
