When asked to define her comedy as observational, improvisational or political, she said it’s really a mix of all three.

“I try to keep up with what’s going on in the world and, frankly, there are days and weeks when I have a better grip on it than others. There are times when all I know is that Obama’s President,” Poundstone said.

Poundstone says she spends about 90 days a year in concert, mostly on weekends because of life with her kids and pets.
