Two Dead, One Injured In Two Philadelphia Shootings

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia police are investigating the death of a man shot after an argument in a Chinese restaurant.

Officials say two men began arguing in Nanchang Chinese and American takeout in the Brewerytown section of the city early Saturday. Police say the dispute continued outside, and one of the men pulled a gun and shot the other in the chest.

Police said 39-year-old Lawrence Horton was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday. A 23-year-old woman hit in the leg was treated at the hospital and released.

Police are also investigating the shooting death of a teenager in the Northern Liberties section a few hours earlier. Police said 17-year-old Dwayne Ballard was pronounced dead shortly before 12:30 a.m. at Hahnemann University Hospital.
