PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It’s a good idea to kick the cigarette habit. However, if it was almost too easy, a local researcher says you may have lung cancer.
Dr. Barbara Campling, a lung cancer specialist at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, interviewed lung cancer patients at the local VA hospital and found a link between their disease and how much effort was needed to kick the habit.READ MORE: 5 People Shot Near Temple University, Philadelphia Police Say

She speculates that a secretion from the tumor may be the reason it was so easy to stop smoking and she suggests anyone who found it a breeze to quit smoking to see a doctor for an exam and testing.
