Chester County Woman Sent Back To Jail After Another DUI Crash

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) - A 23-year-old Chester County woman -- awaiting sentencing for a DUI crash that bizarrely resulted in her boyfriend's death -- had her bail revoked today and was sent to the Montgomery County prison after it was revealed in court she had another drunk-driving crash last month.

Defense attorney Martin Mullaney revealed in court that his client, Erin Miller of Spring City, was drunk and behind the wheel of a car that crashed in Berks County last month, injuring two friends.

Miller was scheduled to be sentenced today in connection with a November 2009 DUI in Limerick (Montgomery County) that injured her boyfriend, Brian Cutillo.  In a strange twist of events, he died of cardiac arrest at the hospital while being treated for his broken nose.  She was not charged with causing Cutillo's death.

Mullaney says his client needs substance abuse and psychiatric help.

"She lost the only person in her life that was really her rock, and that person was killed, unfortunately, in this accident.  So having that loss on her shoulders really just sent her over the edge," Mullaney said.

Miller pleaded guilty last year to a felony charge of aggravated assault by vehicle while under the influence. Her blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit.
