Brides To Be Flock To Citizens Bank Park For Wedding Planning Tips

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - February is big month for engagements; so much so a wedding showcase for brides was held at Citizens Bank Park.

VIP Magazine hosted their annual venue showcase. Magazine publisher Joani Reisen says this is the season for engagements.

"So if they got engaged at Valentine's Day, we wanted to give them the opportunity to meet 60 different locations that they could have their wedding at."

She says there are a lot of unique wedding locations in Philadelphia, "Mansions like Cairinwood was here, Wolfgang Puck now has the Kimmel Center, Starr Events has some great new places opening up in the city at the horticultural center."

And Reisen warns of the number one argument during the wedding planning phase. 'I've had both the mom there and the groom and they're like whose wedding is it? And they're like; well I'm paying for it! And they're like, well it's my wedding! That's probably the biggest trauma."

Reisen adds it is always better to stick with the bride, "Always the bride! That's why I get in trouble because normally the parents are the ones paying me, but I think it's important that the bride should get what she should want.'
