Fouch Lifts Drexel Over William & Mary

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Chris Fouch hit the tie-breaking 3-pointer with 12 seconds left to give Drexel a 54-52 come-from-behind win over William & Mary on Saturday.

Fouch and Dartaye Ruffin scored 16 points apiece off the bench for the Dragons (17-8, 9-6 Colonial Athletic Association), who have won four of their last five.

There were seven ties and seven lead changes, with both teams taking their largest leads in the first half, the Tribe by six and Drexel by five.

With Drexel ahead 42-39 with 8:03 to play, the Tribe (7-19, 3-12) used a 9-2 run to lead 48-44 with 4:10 left.

After Frantz Massenat's free throws pushed Drexel ahead 51-50, Julian Boatner made the first of two free throws to tie it and Fouch answered with his 3.

Britt Brandon went 1 for 2 from the line with 5 seconds left, but William & Mary didn't get another field goal try.

Marcus Kitts led the Tribe with 11 points.
