New Jersey Bill Creates License Plate Honoring Vets
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is set to sign a bill creating specialized license plates for parents of troops killed in the line of duty.
The special plates include a gold star and the words "Gold Star Parent." It will cost $25 to defray manufacturing costs.
New Jersey was one of only nine other states that didn't have Gold Star plates or a bill proposing such plates.
Christie is set to sign the bill at the War Memorial in Trenton Tuesday.
