Woman Struck, Killed By Plow Truck In Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) - A Wilmington woman died early Thursday after being struck by a snow plow truck owned by the Delaware Department of Transportation.

The deadly accident happened at about 6:30 a.m. on the Washington Street Extension in Wilmington.

According to investigators, the driver of a snow plow truck owned by DelDOT was in the process of making a u-turn when he struck 51-year-old Denise McFadden.

McFadden suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body has been turned over to the medical examiner's office where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

The fatal accident remains under investigation.
