Philly Home Show Opens Saturday

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Philadelphia Home Show opens Saturday at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

The Philadelphia Home Show will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a special tribute to Philadelphia sports history and rooms with Philadelphia specific-themes. There will be all sorts of demonstrations, info booths and presentations for those looking to improve their living spaces.

One special guest, indoor gardening expert William Moss (right) from HGTV, will tell visitors about the benefits of plant life in the home.

"They're pulling out the bad stuff and putting in the good stuff. So they take out things like tobacco smoke," Moss said. "If you've got a peace lily, it actually removes some of the benzene from the tobacco smoke in the air and puts out pure oxygen."

Moss will hold demonstrations Saturday and Sunday. The Home Show continues through January 23rd.
