Cumberland County Teacher Charged With Sexual Assault Of Student

VINELAND, N.J. (CBS) - Bail has been set at $250 for a substitute teacher who stands accused of sexually assaulting a student at a Cumberland County high school.

27-year-old Remarno Chambers was charged with aggravated sexual assault after prosecutors say he supplied a student with alcohol and possibly drugs at a Vineland High School party. Authorities will not comment on whether the student is male or female, but sources say the student is over 18.

Parents were upset that they were not notified of the incident as soon as it happened.

"They should have called all of the parents I think and let us know what was going on," said parent Mattie Colbin.

Police continue their investigation as they search for other possible victims. Authorities say more information will be released on Monday.
