PennDOT's Gene Blaum says over 400 plows and salt trucks are on standby. Once snow begins, keep your distance from all plows, taper speed, and remove any parked cars from snow emergency routes before snow emergencies are declared so plows will be able to remove the snow quickly.

"We just ask motorists to certainly be prepared for it. Make sure you carry all the necessary equipment you need in your vehicle, and make sure your windshield washing levels are up to the top. Just be prepared for winter. This will be the first type of measurable snow we've had."
