Plan Ahead To Avoid Airport Hassles

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - If you're heading through the airport to get to your Thanksgiving destination, plan ahead to avoid some hassles.

Dress for security, you're going to have to remove your coat, jacket or sweater along with your shoes and belt, so be ready to keep the line moving.

Jennifer Gaines, contributing editor for Travelocity.com says make sure you have enough money to check all your bags:

"Bags are $25 for your first bag, $35 for your second checked bag and that's for every person. If you go online you can actually save a few dollars by paying for those bags."

If you get hungry on the flight, food will cost you so you might want to bring snack along -- just remember there's not a lot of room in coach and not everyone will appreciate your smelly lunch.
