Simply Set The Thanksgiving Table

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Set the table today, and you'll have one less thing to do tomorrow. To make it pretty, get stuff from your garden:

• Cut sprigs of herbs, tie them with a bit of ribbon and arrange them on a plate, or in a basket as a centerpiece – they'll scent the room nicely too.
• Arrange autumn leaves on a tray and top it with a clear glass platter to serve appetizers or dessert.
• Write each guest's name on a leaf with a paint pen and use them as place cards.
• Celebrate the harvest with a centerpiece of baby produce stacked on cake plates – from tiny ears of corn and mini zucchini, to clementines and little lady apples. It's cute and easily turned into soups, side dishes, and snacks the next day, so nothing goes to waste.
• If you have no time to spare, just lay a line of lovely leaves down the center of your table – that takes about 30 seconds.

There the table's set. Now go make a pie already.
