BLOG: Autism Shops Super Saturday
By Jim Donovan: The 2nd Annual "Autism Shops Super Saturday" to benefit Stephanie's House, Inc will be held this Saturday at Freedoms Foundation Ballroom in Phoenixville, PA.
Cost: $5 admission fee
This is a cash and carry event that has great items - all donated and most sold at half off retail. Much of it comes from QVC vendors. Kitchen, garden, health and beauty, designer handbags, home goods -filling a huge ballroom and several other spaces.
This event is held to raise the funds necessary to establish the first of kind home for women with autism. Once a woman reaches the age of 21, she is done with school, and residential support through that venue ends. They either go home to mom and dad or are at the mercy of whatever place the state may have to offer. Stephanies House hopes to change that and provide a beautiful home, independence, socialization, dignity and love.
