Charges Filed In Philly Nail Salon Owner's Murder

SOUTHAMPTON, Pa. (AP) -- Authorities in suburban Philadelphia have charged a man in the death of a woman whose body was found in the nail salon she owned.

Bucks County authorities say 31-year-old Thuy Van Vo of Philadelphia was charged after several hours of questioning Friday in the death of 30-year-old Annie Huynh. She was found dead Monday on the floor of Kim's Nails in the Pike Plaza Center in Upper Southampton.

Authorities said relatives told them that the victim had given Vo $4,000 for an investment, but he had only returned $2,000. Police said they tried to interview Vo but he was hospitalized until Friday after taking over-the-counter medications.

Vo, wearing a hospital bandage on his arm, was arraigned before District Judge Daniel Baranoski on Friday night and taken to the county prison without bail. It was unclear whether he had an attorney.
