PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – There’s a new theater company in Philadelphia called Center City Theater Works.

Artistic director Jeff Lesser (right) says it’s been a lot of work this past year bringing to company to life:

“Having to incorporate, having to get our tax exempt status being declared a non-profit, getting ready to raise funds, choosing our first production, finding a theater.”

He says the group’s newly found home is the Adrian Theater at 20th and Sansom:

“Our first production is in May, after that we’re hoping to do two productions a year to start out and then we’d like to grow and include not just plays, musicals but also get into maybe cabaret performances, educational opportunities.”

The first performance will be The Shadow Box. Auditions will be held in February.
