Spectrum 'Leftovers' Go On Sale Saturday — Cash And Carry

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Demolition is set to begin next week on the Spectrum. But before the arena is razed, you'll have one last chance to score some loot from the place.

Since one venue's trash is another man's treasure, for $25 on Saturday -- from 9 a.m. till Noon -- you can keep all you can carry from what's left on the Spectrum's floor.

Comcast-Spectacor spokesman Ike Richman:

"There are some folding chairs, there are some old desks, some office furniture, various things that some people may find a souvenir to them that may not be something that someone else may like."

Richman says some of those chairs even have the Spectrum logo on them, in case the actual spectator seats still for sale (at RememberTheSpectrum.com) are too rich for your blood.

You can't use any tools or go back in after you lug the stuff out, but you will get a limited edition crystal for your cash and efforts.

Richman says crews will put up fences and start tearing down the inside of the building on Monday (see related story), with exterior demolition to come later this month.
