Philadelphia Speaker Series: Elizabeth Gilbert

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Some books sell well, but very few break through the way Eat, Pray, Love did.

How's this for impressive? 187 weeks on The New York Times bestseller list; a major movie starring Julia Roberts and a personal contentment she never knew.

The book Eat, Pray, Love turned into a phenomenon, when it was released in 2006 and nobody was more surprised than the woman who wrote it, Elizabeth Gilbert.

Listen to extended interview:

Gilbert's follow up book, Committed, focuses on marriage, an institution, she says, she's made her peace with in a successful relationship.

She'll be speaking Monday night in the Philadelphia speaker series, at the Kimmel Center, sponsored by Widener University, presented by KYW Newsradio.
