Michael Smerconish To Interview President Obama

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Michael Smerconish, 1210 AM WPHT morning host, also host of a nationally syndicated midday program, will conduct a one-on-one interview with President Barack Obama on Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Smerconish will be live in his Bala Cynwyd studios as the President speaks to him from the Oval Office of the White House.

"It's a privilege anytime I have the opportunity to interview the President and I'm sure he knows he can count on my directness as well as my dignity and respect," says Smerconish.

This will be the fifth time that Smerconish has interviewed the President – including a live on-site broadcast from the White House. While there are no guidelines for the discussion, one topic that is sure to come up is Michael's long-held concern about Pakistan and the hunt for Osama bin Laden. In each of the previous four interviews, Michael has asked the President about this subject. The audio clips from his interview will be posted on The Big Talker page on www.cbsphilly.com.

The interview will air at approximately 12:30 pm during Michael's nationally syndicated program. It will be re-broadcast during Michael's morning program on The Big Talker 1210 AM WPHT on Thursday, October 28th at approximately 7 am and streamed live on www.cbsphilly.com.

The Michael Smerconish Program airs weekday mornings 5 AM to 9 AM and weekday evenings 12 midnight to 2 AM on The Big Talker 1210, WPHT. In addition to hosting mornings on WPHT, The Michael Smerconish Program is broadcast to 109 markets throughout the country.
