Philadelphia Police Investigate Sexual Assault In Chestnut Hill

CHESTNUT HILL (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police are investigating the sexual assault of a woman on Chestnut Hill College's campus early Saturday morning.

According to police, the 26-year-old victim says her attacker followed her as she exited the East Regional Rail train in Chestnut Hill just after midnight.

The suspect allegedly grabbed her and pulled her into an alcove on-campus and sexually assaulted her, police say.

The man is described as a black male of dark complexion, believed to be in his 20's with a beard.


The suspect was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans, according to the victim.

The unidentified 26-year-old female, who is not associated with Chestnut Hill College, was taken to Episcopal Hospital for treatment.
