Pa. High Schools Prepare For A 'Great Food Fight'
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. (CBS) - The Great Food Fight begins Friday at, a first-of-its-kind regional food drive to benefit Philabundance. A pep rally was held at Plymouth-Whitemarsh high school, which is one of 20 schools participating, to kick off the event.
The schools will compete to raise as much food as they can by October 15th in the Great Food Fight.
Kevin is from Upper Moreland high school:
"We plan on spreading the word among all of our students. We don't have a big school, just 950, so it will be easy to spread the word through announcements and our showcases. So hopefully the kids will come together and raise as much as they can."
The winning school will receive a check for $10,000 from Shire Pharmaceuticals.
