Farmer's Almanac Predicts Dry Winter in Phila. Region
The latest Farmer's Almanac says the Philadelphia area will dodge the snow bullet this winter.
KYW's Karin Phillips reports that if you liked all that snow last winter, don't expect a repeat performance. According to the "Old Farmer's Almanac", the Philadelphia area is not getting all that snow this winter.
Judson Hale (above) has been editor in chief of the publication for over 50 years:
"I think we won't have as quite as extreme a winter. We're predicting for the Philadelphia area kind of a dry winter in some respects and colder than average, very much colder."
Hale says the Almanac is predicting a mid to late January snowstorm for Philadelphia and wintry weather toward the end of February, but fairly dry the rest of the winter and into next spring and summer.
