Bill Clinton and Tony Blair Discuss Foreign Policy

Former President Bill Clinton and Former Prime Minister Tony Blair held a foreign policy conversation at the National Constitution Center Monday that was witnessed by about 100 people.

KYW's Michelle Durham reports the friendship between Clinton and Blair was evident throughout the conversation with Blair mentioning situations that made the former president laugh and vice versa:

"I thought you were going to say when we thought about the peace process and the most important thing that you would look to the floor and say blind luck."

But when the subject turned to middle east peace negotiations the tone instantly changed:

Blair:  "Israelis will say to you, we want peace but we don't have a partner or the Palestinians will say of course we want peace how could we not.  But the Israelis are not serious about it."

Clinton:  "I think that is the most hopeful thing really that the Arabs desperately want this done and are finally ready at long last to give Israel what they have always asked for a genuine long-term partnership."
