Demonstration On Mall for American Hikers Jailed in Iran
The mother of Elkins Park hiker Josh Fattal, who was arrested by Iranian authorities along with his friend Shane Bauer and his girlfriend Sarah Shourd last year, has organized a demonstration today on Independence Mall at 1:00pm.
KYW's Michelle Durham reports Laura Fattal is passionate about this event:
"We are thrilled to be able to do this outside of the American symbol of freedom, the Liberty Bell. Of course we are doing this for my son Josh and his friends Shane and Sarah, who have been detained by Iran for one year today. And this is a terrible injustice. And we want everyone who is for fairness and justice to come out and support us."

Fattal recently saw her son in Iran:
"We never went to the prison. We saw the kids at the hotel where we were staying. It was a gracious, cordial visit except it is no longer a time for visits; it's time to come home."
