Phils Cruise in Their 4th Win in a Row

Led by Roy Halladay's 7 scoreless innings, and Ross Gload's 3-4, 4 rbi night, the Phils ran over the Blue Jays 9-0 down at Citizen's Bank Park for their 4th win in a row. The Phils entered their final interleague set of the season as the away team, despite being at home. Since Toronto was considered the home team, a DH was used, played by Ryan Howard, placing Ross Gload at 1st.

A bulk of the Phils runs were scored in the 5th inning. After loading the bases with no one out, Chase Utley hit a 2 rbi single, scoring  Brian Schneider and Jimmy Rollins. Next Batter Ryan Howard with an rbi single scoring Placido Polanco. Jayson Werth would draw a walk, and 2 batters later Ross Gload would clear the bases with an rbi double.

Despite not having a single hit, Jimmy Rollins had a great night a leadoff, drawing 4 walks, tieing a career high. Shane Victorino with a solo homerun, and rbi single. Roy Halladay(W, 9-5) officiant on the mound, throwing 106 pitches through 7 innings. Tonight's win even more special for Halladay, being that it's against his former team.

The Atlanta Braves beat the Detroit Tigers 3-1, so the Phils remain 2 1/2 games out of 1st in the NL East. Cole Hamels takes the mound Saturday afternoon against the Jays. Phils looking to win their 5th in a row.
