Xochitl offers classic Mexican dishes with modern flair. The restaurant’s combination of brightly colored walls with wooden carvings and flickering candles makes it a cozy and relaxed — yet upscale — place to spend your Valentine’s Day meal. From Thursday, Feb. 14 though Saturday, Feb. 16, a special four-course Valentine’s Day menu will be available. Start with a fresh salad or the adobo shrimp bisque followed by a second course chosen from options such as cheese empanadas and tuna ceviche. Your choice of five delectable entrees includes red snapper, roasted vegetable sope, stuffed chicken breast, seared shrimp and a surf and turf. Top it off with a dessert sampler for two and a glass of champagne. This special Valentine’s menu will be the only menu available Thursday evening; however, the special menu plus Xochitl’s standard dinner menu will be available on Friday and Saturday.

Choose from these options, or share the aptly named “Perfect Pair” – a Valentine’s Day special featuring an 8-oz. filet and 8-oz. lobster tail for $79. While the special Valentine’s Day menu will only be available on Thursday, Feb. 14, the Perfect Pair will be available Thursday through Sunday.

Twenty Manning Grill is a perfect fit for the stylish Rittenhouse Square crowd. With white walls, black and white photographs and cheerful yellow leather-upholstered booths, it appears sleek while still managing to remain casual and friendly. The menu is mainly American with a focus on local seasonal ingredients, plus a few Asian-influenced options such as pork pot stickers. On Valentine’s Day, Twenty Manning will offer a four-course tasting menu with options specifically chosen for the special night. In addition, diners will have the option of a wine pairing to complement each course.
